Steven Thomas Named Principal ITBI Evangelist at SMT Data

SMT Data is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Thomas to the role of Principal ITBI Evangelist, effective August 1, 2024. Steven’s new position marks an exciting evolution in his distinguished 13-year career at SMT Data, where he previously served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Steven is uniquely positioned for this role through his combination of extensive technical background, broad industry knowledge, and hands-on experience with SMT Data’s products and customers.  His vast expertise and passion for technology will play a critical role in promoting and spreading awareness of the ITBI™ Solution, which has been central to SMT Data’s success.

As Principal ITBI Evangelist, Steven will take on a multifaceted role, working both across the SMT Data organization and across the ITBI community. This means collaborating with the SMT Data sales team on presales activity, supporting the SMT Data consulting team with customer on-boarding, providing customer and market input to the DevOps team, and working with the SMT Data management team on product strategy.  Steven will partner with the marketing team to develop content like whitepapers, blogs, and webinars, while also actively participating in conferences and industry discussions. Steven’s leadership will help shape the industry narrative around ITBI, positioning SMT Data as a thought leader in the space.

In his new role, Steven will also be responsible for building a community of users, customers, and stakeholders who are passionate about ITBI. He will serve as a vital bridge between this community and SMT Data, ensuring that valuable feedback is obtained and integrated into the company’s ongoing product development efforts.
