SMT Data Promotes Nicklas Laine Overgaard to Chief Technology Officer
At SMT Data we are pleased to announce the promotion of Nicklas Laine Overgaard to Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective August 1, 2024. This strategic appointment underscores SMT Data’s commitment to driving technological innovation and maintaining its competitive edge in the industry.
Nicklas joined SMT Data at the beginning of 2024 and quickly established himself as a key player in the company’s technological advancements. His promotion to CTO is a recognition of his exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and the significant contributions he has made to the company in a short period.
As CTO, Nicklas will have a broad range of responsibilities, including leading and developing the DevOps team, managing product development, and overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure and security practices. His role will be crucial in aligning the company’s technological strategy with its business goals, ensuring that SMT Data continues to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its clients.
One of Nicklas’s primary objectives in his first year as CTO is to achieve ISO27001 and SOC2 Type II certifications by November 2024, reinforcing SMT Data’s commitment to the highest security standards. Additionally, he will focus on maturing the ITBI™ setup to support cost-effective scalability and preparing the company’s technology infrastructure for future roadmap expansions.
