SMT Data launches ITBI AI Developer License

SMT Data launches ITBI AI Developer License

During the last years, SMT Data has radically transformed the backbone of its solution: ITBITM (IT Business Intelligence), proactively adapting it to the current technological developments and trends. This development now allows for a revolution in the practice of Capacity and Performance Management.

“ITBI has been evolving over more than thirty years and the technology stack behind it has continually been modernized to keep track of customer requirements and technological trends – says Mads Ehlers Rasmussen, Co-CEO of SMT Data. Data warehouses complemented with layers of Business Intelligence were state of the art in the 1990’s whereas demand for Data Lakes with Big Data increased in the 2010s. Today very large, loosely coupled Data Fabrics are getting traction to support AI-infused automation on top of data coming from complex Hybrid IT infrastructures. These are set up to contain Mainframes, Server Environments, Private Clouds, multiple Public Clouds, as well as various SaaS solutions. As stated by Gartner, Data Fabric Architecture is Key to Modernizing Data Management and Integration.”

SMT Data has now implemented a Data Fabric Architecture where a multiplicity of data-sources is extracted from the customers’ environments, transformed by an own developed Data Processing Engine, aggregated, enriched with application, business, and cost dimensions, and placed it in the correct zones of the ITBI Capacity & Performance Data Lake.

Besides providing the foundation for the classic ITBI reporting interface, powered by Targit, the Data Lake can now be accessed directly by customers from the ITBI Portal in order to perform both ad hoc queries and downstream tasks via programmatic access.

Customers can work with the tools they prefer and have the internal skills for, including SAS, WPS, SQL. Python, R, Julia, and many other programming languages. This empowers capacity and performance management experts with even more flexible and advanced analysis capabilities, supplementing the over 400 standard reports with hyper-drill function and the possibility to create own standard reports, which are included in the ITBI license.

ITBI customers who purchase the new ITBI AI Developer license, can customize the types of data that are collected in the Data Lake, the data granularity and the data retention.

All current ITBI customers will be contacted during the coming weeks, in order to be introduced to the ITBI AI Developer license.
