SMT Data provides software and consulting services to large companies such as Danske Bank, TDC, KMD, DNB, Gjensidige and Signal Iduna. The IT Business Intelligence (ITBI) solution helps large companies run their IT infrastructure much more efficiently.

This transparency allows the customers to optimize their IT infrastructure, operations, finances, and application development, resulting in significant cost savings and better alignment with business needs.

Extensive internationalization has been initiated and from having customers in Denmark only, SMT Data now has Blue Chip references in Italy, Germany, UK, Norway, Finland and Sweden as well as the first project in North America.

Main responsibility:
  • Overall sales responsibility for Norway
  • Together with the management team, develop the specific sales account plan for other regions.
  • Close collaboration with the sales-, presales- and marketing- team as well as partners
  • Respond to Invitations To Tender (ITT) and Requests For Information (RFIs) or Request for Proposal (RFP’s)
  • Engage with Product teams to maintain product knowledge. Represent SMT Data at general marketing events as required
  • Contract negotiation and management
Knowledge and experience required:
  • Ability to both maintain large customers (KAM) as well as business development (80% new business and 20% KAM)
  • Team player but also very self-driving
  • Large network in enterprise companies
  • Experience in working internationally
  • Ability to perform at both C-level and technical level (have experience with sales at all levels)
  • Travel experience (working in different countries) is an advantage
  • Professional sales where the focus is on both business advantages and technical advantages
  • Can convey a vision and get the customer engaged
Language skills:
  • English and Danish fluent, oral and in writing
  • A good knowledge of Swedish and German is an advantage

SMT Data is looking for a senior developer, who will be responsible for developing and maintaining its existing solutions and take part in the design and development of the future technology platform in close cooperation with the development team.

The software products developed by SMT Data gather enormous amounts of data about the customer’s IT operations and map these to business activities using analysis and reporting tools on top of a data warehouse. SMT Data also provides services to help customers integrate the ITBI™ solution into their environment and assists customers in realizing the benefits of ITBI™ in their organization.

SMT Data has recently initiated an ambitious project which aims at developing a new platform to unite existing solutions and enable a series of new product capabilities, to further develop their main product which helps customers improve and optimize the use of their IT capacity and reduce their IT infrastructure cost.

The project is expected to make heavily use of Big Data technologies,data analysis and machine learning tools such as Deep Learning, Apache Spark, Jupyter and micro services.

Main areas of responsibility and tasks:

  • Participate in design, development, test and documentation of SMT Data’s core software products
  • Integrate third party software components into SMT Data’s standard solutions
  • Participate in existing and future product maintenance
  • Resolve specific customer tasks in relation to the company’s standard products

Preferred experience:

  • You have minimum 2 years development experience, and a master’s degree in computer science or similar
  • You have a solid background in software design and development, ideally working with:
    • C#/.Net
    • Visual Studio
    • SQL Server

You may also have experience with:

  • Big Data & MLtechnologies such as Apache Spark, Tensorflow and Jupyter
  • Scala and Python
  • Advanced analysis, machine learning and statistical modelling
  • BI tools and methods such as SQL Server Analysis Services and Targit

You communicate fluently in English and preferably also in Danish

About the position

Main areas of responsibility and tasks

As Senior ITBI Consultant you will assist our customers in getting maximum value from SMT Data’s solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and optimizing the capacity and performance of the customer’s z/OS environment including WLM, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ with the help of SMT Data’s ITBI™ Solution
  • Providing managed services to customers including ongoing assessment of capacity and performance characteristics of their z/OS system
  • Being a ‘trusted advisor’ for customers in dialog with their outsourcers about capacity, performance and billing questions
  • Providing presales support, product demonstration and project planning
  • Driving ‘Proof of Value’ and pilot projects to help the customer evaluate SMT Data’s offerings
  • Customizing SMT Data’s solutions to meet specific customer needs.

In addition, you will work closely with the SMT Data’s software development team, providing them with insight into customer needs and market trends in order to ensure the SMT delivers the best possible solutions to the market.

Preferred experience

  • You have 5+ years’ experience working with z/OS as a consultant, systems administrator, infrastructure architect or capacity manager
  • You have a deep technical insight into z/OS performance and capacity metrics including SMF and RMF
  • You have a proven ability to understand complex technical problems
  • You have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • You may also have experience with:
    • CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, WAS
    • Cloud computing
    • BI tools and methods
